Founder & Chief Admissions Strategist
Stephen c. Frederico
Stephen is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh applying into neurosurgery and a former full voting member of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine admissions committee, where he reviewed and interviewed hundreds of applicants over multiple cycles. He has also worked at large national admissions consulting firms, giving him exposure to both institutional and commercial sides of the admissions process. He founded AdmitMD to provide applicants with honest, insider guidance and highly individualized strategy grounded in how admissions decisions are actually made.

BS/MD & Medical School Admissions Strategist
Lohit Velagapudi
Dr. Velagapudi is a neurosurgery resident at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Originally from Southern California, he completed the Penn State/Sidney Kimmel Medical College (SKMC) 7-year BS/MD program with a concentration in Neuroscience. He served on the admissions committees for both the SKMC BS/MD program and the SKMC MD program for multiple admissions cycles, gaining extensive firsthand insight into the medical school admissions process. Dr. Velagapudi is passionate about developing individualized, goal-driven application strategies that optimize each client’s chances of success.

Medical School Admissions Strategist
Erik Jaklitsch is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a practicing dermatology resident at Yale New Haven, with a clinical interest in Mohs surgery. He has an extensive research background with multiple publications focused on novel methods for melanoma detection and immune-based therapies. Erik also brings significant admissions consulting experience, having advised over 50 medical school applicants as a consultant with Crimson Education as well as medical students applying to dermatology residency programs.

Medical School Admissions Strategist
Shwetabh is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh with a clinical interest in cardiology and the management of pediatric congenital heart disease.
He has extensive admissions consulting experience, having advised nearly 100 applicants to U.S. MD programs after serving as an advisor in the University of Pittsburgh’s Giving a Boost program, where he supported students nationwide. His mentees have earned acceptances at top U.S. medical schools across the country.
