Dr. Hassaam Choudhry attended Rutgers University as a member of the combined 7-year BA/MD program with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). There, he received the highly prestigious RBHS Rising Stars Award, granting an additional $20,000 annually during his residency at Rutgers NJMS, where he now trains as an Ophthalmology resident. Alexandra is a health policy research assistant at the RAND Corporation and a premedical post-baccalaureate student at UCLA Extension. She graduated summa cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University, where she studied neuroscience and human rights and completed two honors theses. At RAND, her research has focused on mental health, substance use, health care access, and delivery system reform.
While working, Alexandra has navigated the academic and logistical demands of a post-baccalaureate program, including intensive science coursework, course sequencing, and long-term application planning.
